This happened to me 2 days ago, literally. I dragged it outside, opened the filter at the bottom, let the water drain out, gained 1 pound 30p from the filter and an old sim card. I then put the drain hose on my outside tap and pushed water through it at full blast to clear any crap from inside it. I then put it inside and it worked better than it did.

As stated, the washing machine and hoover just sound like they need the filter cleaning. Mine do the same. Nice easy jobs once you've worked out how they come apart.
  • thanks again, am feeling quietly confident with your help at what is wrong with both but how easy is easy...... been left without a proper tool box so they are limited to the odd screw driver in tea towel drawer and a hammer oops and a sharp knife that i use for allsorts. so you can see not exactly miss diy. could i tackle these myself or even let my 19 yr old son lose on????? unfortunately no man about house or friendly neighbour???
