If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Ick. I use the Uncle Bens rice sometimes (although I can cook my own as well, but it's time. I know, 15-20 minutes isn't long to do your own version, but after a 10-12 hour day it feels like it, so 2 minutes in the microwave wins) and I hope I never see anything like that inside the pouch.

Try giving them a call on their freephone number 0800 9520084.

    It's Mars Food Ltd.

And to those who are complaining about being 'thrifty' etc - you can pick these up really cheap when they're on special. OK, not as cheap as making it yourself, but a lot more convenient and, if you're like me, guaranteed not to turn out like porridge.

Surely the point of the thread is that no one should have to put up with that when they purchase a foodstuff.

That looks quite disgusting, let uncle ben know and you might get vouchers that are equal to or greater than the value of the rice, and i would have thought they would then inform the supermarkets who would then check the stock, its most likely a unit thats been pierced
