Uncle Ben's (not for the soft of stomach)

Hi all,
Purchased an Uncle Ben's Egg Fried Rice sachet on the way home from work today, put it in the microwave and opened the sachet to be greeted with what's in the photos below. It's obviously disgusting, and I'm not even sure I know what it is, but does anybody have any thoughts/experiences as to how to deal with this? Should I inform the shop so they can check the rest of their stock? Or should I just call Uncle Ben himself and make my feelings known...
It's not the end of the world, and I'm not fussed about getting any compensation, but it is really vomit-inducing and so far from what the product should look like there's a good chance it's not good for the health.
Scroll down for photos - they are reasonably unpleasant, so perhaps don't browse if you've JUST eaten.

Is it supposed to go with green curry :rotfl:0
-
That already looks better than most of the things I'm able to cook...0

It's been pierced at some point. Wash the packet out, send it back to Uncle Ben's/Nestle and they'll send you a letter saying it's the supermarket's fault, but have a few vouchers to make you feel better about it.
I have never bought their vac pac products since I found exactly the same in one of their rices.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Yuck!!!!!!!Thinking critically since 1996....0

very lucky you didn't just tip it into a green curry or something?
i reckon it just wasn't sealed properly and has gone off0 -
It's caused as the above poster has said by a small puncture in the pouch. I've had it in my shop with Princes Brand Fried Rice.0

For future reference, theres a see through part at the bottom of the pouch. Just check in future and you wont get any nasty suprisesYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

Muppet food.
Try Long Grain Rice, cheaper than that Basmati stuff they flog at a fortune, put it boiling water, simmer for 11 minutes. Rinse with boiling water.
While cooking, add 1 egg and a little milk, whisk well together.
Heat frying pan with a little lard, (Oil is too thick to fry with), fry egg til scrambled. Add rice and soy sauce as required.
Simple and a damn sight cheaper than Muppet Food0 -
For a thrifty student your not very thrifty. Buy some normal rice and an egg.0
