Now and then it seems that life is just too much.

Awww thankyou Sparkle and MrsChaos...i needed hugs and sympathy thankyou.

hellyboo - i was originally contracted to work 26.5 hours a week in October 2008, that dropped to 22.5 in April 2010, and now they're dropping me down to 19 hours a week from 6th Sept. I'm a part-time temp so not really got any legs to stand on...but as a single parent (one DS) i need to earn enough to pay the rent etc etc.(It's the etc etc that I'm worried about!)

I need to sit and work out if we can 'manage' on 19 hours a week, once my head recovers (you know the saying 'my head's a shed? Well I think mine's a double garage with leanto attached....you know stuff is in there, but finding it.......shudder:eek:)

am sure you're not a muppet pigpen (although I do like muppets)and even if y'are it's better than being an eejit which is what I seem to have written on my forehead at the mo.

Tomorrow is another day ......head down and batter on....now where have I read that recently ;) Toots x

Ah poo all my white washing has blown off the line :( Think I rescued it all from the pond/bushes/next door, back in the machine it goes...glad I didn't have any knickers out there...

ETA roundtoit I would definately get in touch with citizens advice - if you started in 2008 and have worked regularly for them since, I don't think you should still be on a temp contract. I know you don't want to p!ss them off by fighting it but you have to put you and yours first hun x
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,

Well done, grateful! I bet that's your hard work at least as much as theirs.

Thank you, well me and two very dedicated patient TAs (who take turns, I hasten to add, I don't have them both at once!!)

pigpen you are bright as anything, you're in the middle of a Science degree, !!!!!!!

erm...no expert in employment law, but I don't think its legal to give two consecutive temp contacts unless there's a bloomin good reason - like the post will only exist for a year. May be different if you are part-time?

    ACAS??

eta done washing, set fire, written shopping list and meal planned, got car from menders-only not mended yet, beds made, bathroom and loo cleaned...
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Sorry Helly.. I giggled... I can just imagine fishing your laundry from the pond.. I have 2 bedsheets and a bunch for towels out.. all double pegged!!! Freja's washing went in the dryer.. I was not pegging out teeny tiny things.. far too boring!

Fishies all cleaned out and looking sparkly.. I've been trying to find the motivation to do them for about.. 3 months maybe.. they were gross and a half!!! OH dropped Sarah in the sink and she laid there all winded.. poor Sarah!

This weeks job has to be to sort the back room.. it is hideous in there!

I'm not.. I deferred ages ago due to being ill and the children being horrific for OH and then I had Freja.. I couldn't even do that properly.. thought I might do something less time consuming and disorganised like social work.. :p.. I'm going to have to defer another year as well with her being so tiny and needing feeding every 15 minutes.

3 HHCs later the weeds are gone, the DW emptied and re-loaded and a couple of things washed by hand/put away, and the papers are ready for DS1 to do tomorrow. It took me ages today, because there were 6  leaflets to put in and floorspace in the LR is still limited.
I'll have another 20min in the LR before DH is home. I wonder if he'll ask me about DS1's exam results, as they're still not talking. It wouldn't look good if people ask him and he doesn't know, as he cares about what others think of him. I'll just tell him that he's done ok. ;)

piggers - is she feeding better this week?

She has fed really well anyway she seems to have a day every 4-5 days where she feeds all day long but then will sleep for long periods the other days.. today is a piggy day!!! I think some of the poblem is she gets cold really quickly and cannot get warm.. she is now being dressed in 3 layers more than me.. lol.. but at least she isn't purple any more and is much more settled.

BUT.. she sleeps really well at night so we cannot complain!!
