just to warn you guys that 81404 are back sending out unsolicited text messages.
1st i knew was my o2 bill being higher than normal. o2 weren't much help but after much arguing they finally agreed to raise a complaint.
I got a call a few days later to say the 3rd party provider had agreed to refund money!
o2 seemed disinterested that I'd never sent anything or entered any competitions.
And again today a text from Cheeky mobile.
What can be done to stop this?:eek:

@G51shopaholic,
Why should they when o2 and the other networks take up to 50% of the money stolen from your account as admin fees from the thieving barstools that sent you the URB text?
O2 refuse to bar short codes, the means by which the text has been sent, as do 3 & Orange only T-Mobile make it clear that it is a service that they offer. Vodafone also offer a bar, after a long campain by it account holders, but you will not see anything about it on the web site. Even when you call CS they will deny knowledge about it. (From my own experience and others that have posted here and the VF e-forum). My recommendation if you want to be safe is to change your network.
