Abbey Santander visa debit card

Hi I was wondering if anyone is having trouble using their Visa debit card today? Mine was declined. Also I can't access my online bank account. I rang customer services and they said they are having trouble. Also I got a new visa debit card and the pin doesn't work. Is it part of the problem?

:mad:We had the same problem this morning, hubby went to pay for a 2 night hotel visit and was told it was declined, couldn't get on the website to see what was going on and then had to ask my dad to pay over the phone with his credit card. Have never been so embarrassed in my life! It's times like this I remember why I left them, just with my hubby would! It looks like it is the same problem as yesterday with Barclays:mad:

My Santander Visa debit card was also declined today. DDs were very miserable with me because we couldnt buy what we needed, and I was very stressed thinking that Id had card fraud. Found out on here that a few others experienced it too.

3 people in the garage infront of me paying for petrol had the A&L/Santander cards declined but were able to lift cash from the machine outside

Having the same problem with our Cahoot debit cards Sunday. Cahoot were part of Abbey, now Santander. Card got declined trying to pay for petrol, also didn't work in ATM, couldn't even access balance. Cahoot website also down (can't login), still looks to be down this morning. This is our main current account, they better sort it soon else we'll be going hungry! I'm guessing the glitch is to do with Cahoot being assimilated by Santander (Borg style it seems!).

Same problem with me in morrisons , paniced came home managed to logg on after hours, Im off up the bank in a bit to find out what the hell is going on . Will update on my return

I was able to view my online account round about 9pm and I phoned the bank this morning and they had no record of my card being declined. They said there were problems but not with their cards but Barclays.

I also had problems with my card yesterday. Had 2 transactions declined. Decided to check balance at ATM and this was not available. Rang Santander - line busy. Fortunately it started working about 1 hour later.

DOH! Just posted a new thread on this. Silly me i didn't see this in the list.

Turns out Visa are having some problems with authentication servers today (A&L Customer Services told me) they also said that there isn't a time frame to solve this issue and was given the line 'sometime today'.

Well just got back from the bank , apparently Globally Santander is down , the woman said shes not sure when it will be back up.
