Rejected from T-Mobile

Hi all,

Just signed up for a T-Mobile contract. Provided my current (11 months here) address, and the last place I lived. I had lived at the last place for 2 years but in that time never bothered to move anything from my parents address, so things like contract o2 phone, bank etc were all registered elsewhere.

Signed up to T-Mobile, but only provided my current and the last address, not my parents address. Sadly got declined. I just got an Equifax credit report, and entered my current address and then my parents address; in essence ignoring my 2 year tenure elsewhere. There are still a couple of accounts registered at my parents; crucially my bank account and my (soon to be cancelled) o2 account.

SO - at this stage should I:

1: Write to T-Mobile and explain in nicer words what I've said here?
2: Cancel the T-Mo contract then reapply, providing my current address and my parents address?
3: Learn how to communicate in morse code in case that makes a comeback? :p

You could call them and ask them to pass it to their credit referrals dept. They 'may' then take you with a refundable deposit.
You could try for a sim only month by month acc and then try for an acc with a phone in say 3 months, that sometimes works.
You could try through a dealer rather the T direct.

If your bank account or credit/debit card (i.e. whatever source your monthly payments are coming from) are registered at a different address to your current one for billing, then it's not surprising that you've been rejected, especially with a 2 year gap.
Are you on the electoral roll at your current address? If not then get registered ASAP, as that is another credit scoring black mark.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
