Easy to use Doro PhoneEasy 410gsm free on £5/month
Regular posts come up looking for "easy to use" mobiles, especially for elderly use.
The Doro PhoneEasy 410gsm phone - which typically has cost the best part of £100 in the past - is now available FREE on the Orange 36 month £5/month tariff with 50 minutes and 50 texts.
£30 cashback is available via Orange on Quidco, so that knocks the equivalent of 83p a month off the line rental cost.
Orange have also launched it on PAYG online but it appears to be £99 (including a £10 top up). The contract option via Quidco costs £50 more but that extra provides 50 minutes and 50 texts each month for three years.
Of course, in the majority of cases those texts are likely to go un-used for someone who struggles to use a phone, but this does now provide an easy way to get such a phone without paying a huge sum up front, and no worries about a top up running out.
Thought this may be of interest to anyone looking for a specialist easy-to-use handset designed for the elderly. Extremely low use/emergency only use (under 10 minutes a month) will still be better stumping the cash upfront for PAYG if you can afford to.

Although this does look a good deal for anyone looking for a contract, Binatone do a phone called the Mimo which is available unlocked on Amazon for £30. It'll work on any network except Three. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button
