Off ebay paypal transactions are more risky.
For the buyer or the seller?

Paypal have been protecting buyers for INR and SNaD with non-ebay transactions for quite a while now, assuming you send it as a payment, not a gift (we had to open an SNaD with ChemistDirect not long ago).

If you're the seller, you still only need to provide the same details as on ebay.

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for all of your replies. I wasn't expecting to start a (semi) heated debate about Paypal!!

It looks like i don't need to worry at the moment because the potential buyer hasn't replied to my message which stated my buy it now.

Thanks for your help - I haven't posted much before but I love reading the boards.

Well done you. There's something to be said for holding your nerve at BIN requests. I have an item being auctioned at the moment and have had 2 BIN requests; have replied to both (resisting the temptation to say "if I wanted to sell it at BIN I would have included it on the listing in the first place") setting the BIN quite high and have not had a reply to either. If I'm correct there are extra fees for BIN's but if you are confident that your item will sell then you are justified in not giving in. Hope you make lots of dosh!!
