She has sent away the form for DLA last week :)
Edited - he will ask for a review from the CSA because that payment was set when he was working overtime, which has all stopped now.

Hi Mardartha- sorry to hear of your sad situation. Depending on your son`s girlfriend`s situation she should be able to get some help from the relevant charities / Marie Curie etc. Also benefits are more helpful when the person is suffering a terminal illness. Try www.entitled to.com Closed site so son`s details are private. HTH

but if they live together he obviously wont pay maintenance.
    theyd get CTC and WTC
You are of course assuming the girlfriend is the mother to his child, if she isn't none of the above apply!

My partner (20) whom does not get DLA can get WTC . Unsure why, but entitled says partner can. Unsure as this is due to me on DLA? £80 odd quid a week WTC

Hi RAS, she has two kids, one is over 21 and working, one is 18 and at college. Both live with their dad & have done for years, but the whole family get on well and visit often, inc her ex. It was an amicable split.

Ok many thanks. I will tell my son all this, to pass on. It's an awkward thing to broach since I'm more or less the mother-in-law eh. She hasnt spoken much about this to me. TY pet x

This is wrong! as the person who gets DLA must work.

I put it through as if I dont get ANY benefit and declared DLA. Mentioned my partners hours and rate as that all partner gets. Says £89.54 WTC would be payable. As a result this means we get some help with HB and CT.

So in a situation of what help will we get with HB/CT as if no help we shall be screwed big time!
