Which PAYG package for an iphone?

Hello!
I'm wanting to get a payg sim for my iphone. I'll be using the internet a lot, and I send a lot of texts. I use my mobile for very little calls, so not so fussed about minutes. There's so many packages to choose from, I'm not even fussed which provider. I don't really understand the amount of internet use I can get etc. Does anyone know of any good deals that would be best for me?
Thanks!

I would recommend GiffGaff for a user such as yourself. If you buy a £10 'GoodyBag' every month, you get 100 minutes, unlimited texts, and TRULY unlimited internet (no fair usage policy or cap). You must buy the GoodyBag for £10 every month though, or you won't benefit from the minutes/texts, and will just be on their 8p per minute and 4p per text standard PAYG tarrif.

They use o2's physical network, so you get the same coverage you would with o2.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Thanks, I've not heard of them before but it sounds good!0

Their PAYG deals are good if you don't make many calls.

The customer service can be poor (try hard but fail !), even by offshore call centre standards but the UK shop staff are fine and the prices reasonable.
A £10 top up converted to internet usage might be what you want.
If you watch what you do (and use wifi where you can), the free internet with top ups might be most of what you need, otherwise buy the £5 a month internet.0 -
I would go with three cause as already mentioned, if you top up 5 pounds you get free texts and 150mb for free. You can then use that same fiver to buy an internet add on which I believe gives you 1gig of data. So for topping up a fiver you can get 150mb+1gig and free texts as well. And in these days of nearly all networks offering only 500mb of data the three deal appears more attractive. As for three themselves contrary to what others say,I have never had any problems with the network or customer service, that's just my own opinion, as I always get excellent 3g speeds with them were ever I go just like the rest of the networks,, and at times there network can actually be better than the big guys. As for this giffgaff, they have good deals, but I believe they are also following suit, and they will also be offering only 500mb as well in line with most UK networks.0

This from Vixmony does highlight one important issue; A network is only as good as the coverage it provides. I used to carshare with three other people and all of us were on different networks. At the same point on the journey, the one on the three network would lose signal and drop any call he was on and have no signal unlit about a mile further up the road. He did, however, have the best signal at work, but the rest of us were still well able to use our phones.
All of the networks provide maps of their network coverage. Once you've decided on what appears to be the cheapest for you, you need to check their map to make sure the places you go to will have coverage. Don't just check work and home; think about your local shopping centre, the supermarket, your parents and friends houses, any pubs/restaurants you visit and the like.
Look at the extras you get from other networks too, such as the free wifi. It's frustrating sitting in a bar trying to look something up with little or no signal and the twerp next to you proudly announces that because he's on O2, he's tapped into the wifi and got the information for you!! You suddenly realise that the stress caused by resisting the temptation to beat the living daylights out of him is probably worse than the stress of being fired for hitting him!!In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
I'm just looking at giffgaff, and it says
'This means that for £5 (normally £10, once the sale has ended) you receive 100 free call minutes, unlimited mobile broadband access and unlimited texts. The unlimited broadband offer lasts until October when you are charged a small daily rate, depending on your download usage.'
So if I sign up to them for unlimited internet, after October I'll have to pay for my internet usage, but with the other providers (like 02) I'll get 500mb free? I don't want to sign up for the free internet if I'm going to have to pay for it in a couple of months.0 -

Down at the bottom of the page, in the black boxes. I've read it somewhere else on the site too but can't find it now. The more I look, the more I'm wondering if it's just a general offer, whereas the goodybags will remain to have the free internet, so I think you may be right.0 -

It's not very clear is it? There's a thread here:

which seems to suggest I'm right, but I'd prefer to see an 'official' statement from giffgaff.Stompa0 -
I know it isn't PAYG but O2 simplicity for iphone charges £15pm for 300mins, unlimited texts, unlimited (500mb!) internet on a 12 month. However there is £100 cashback through quidco, topcashback etc which would make it less than £7 a month.
Maybe not what you want at all but thought I'd throw it out there!!0
