help! private parking ticket going to court

hi,
I received two private parking tickets on a private housing estate that are going to court quite soon. I was not driving the car at the time. I replied using the letter templates on this website. I hadn't read the forums at the time and wished now that I had not replied.
I know I am not liable as I was not driving the vehicle at the time (even in their claim it states that the parking co hold a contract with the owners of the land to issue parking tickets to drivers not abiding by the terms and conditions that are displayed onsite) but was wondering if there was anything that I could quote or if there is any law that prevents me from naming the driver.
In their correspondence they say "that you have made a decision not to provide the driver details. We acknowledge this, however we must advice you that we still intend to follow this through so that we may determine who the driver of the vehicle was on that day".
"the courts may see this as an abuse of process"
Is this true?
i have witnesses to state that I was at home at the time (the parking tickets were issued in the middle of the night) and they were issued a long distance from where I live.
any help or advice would be appreciated

Have you actually received genuine stamped court papers? Some PPCs are known to send out fake ones. Which company is it?0

It sounds to me that this is not a council parking ticket, so its safe to assume that its a private parking ticket with the wording on it called 'Parking Charge Notice', these tickets are not enforceable, and should be completely ignored, they will not take you to court as they would lose.
If its council with their logos on it come back as you need different advice.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

hi,
yes the claim is going to court. the parking co have paid the court fee (7 days late) I was told by the courts it had been taken off the list and I received a letter confirming this and then the next day they had paid the fee and i received another letter saying it had been relisted. So unless they drop out at the last minute (which they have done quite a few times) it is going ahead. I am hoping if I put forward a good defence they will drop the case that is why I need help. i have to submit it to them in the next few days.0 -
ps it is a private parking co (opc)0

Post all tickets and correspondence (ie, court papers) on here and on pepipoo, removing all personal information.0

If they do take you to court and its not a council ticket, you will get a lot of help to defend it from here and pepipoo.com, we need to see scans of the ticket, letters and court papers, remove all detsils that idenify you, post the pictures on tinypic, and post links here.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. i will try but my scanner isn't working properly.
they haven't sent any unstamped court papers or any debt collection letters ( I seem to be the only one) they just replied to my letters saying that they would refer the matter to their legal department for collection but I never actually received anything from their "legal dept". the next thing I received was the money claim online form. I didn't actually think the case would go ahead but they have paid the court fee.0 -
