What does that mean? Have they been taking preorders for release on 19th september (which by the way has past?) or just another case of a company taking orders and failing to deliver because they can't get stock? ... may be they should buy from us :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Just following on from an earlier message. I had my FIRST email today regarding and order with play (that was supposedly 'in stock') and it said the could not supply it. This order was placed on the 4th AUGUST!

That is really bad ....I hate companies who do this......
  • Just pre-warning people! There are many on here trying to profit from these, which is up to them. But if there's people out there actually expecting to receive these from Play for a present for a kid, then I would hate to see them miss out.

To those people, I'd say keep searching and buy from soemwhere else if you can!

Most stores are sold out, People are already ramping the RRP (It should be £34.99). If you must have one consider ebay, they are going for £50 each but at least you'll get one before the yearly december bunfight or try and pre-order in stores, but (as i said earlier) they are sold out in the UK and US, and only appearing in short supply. I could say this is a cynical marketing ploy by the makers, but lets fact it it happens every year.

No-one bar the makers know how many will get to the UK for Xmas, there may be a glut of them next month, or they may be like gold dust. Fisher price have said in the US they didn't expect them to sell so fast (yea right!) Given there out of stock in the UK and they've not even been on TV I suspect come december they'll be trading hands for a lot more than now. Most people are not thinking xmas presents yet, once they do he'll be in demand.

It may be (ala XBOX 360, PSP and PS2) the stores who have taken pre-orders won't even get enough to fill preorders and unless your lucky or willing to pay your not going to get one. Try and pre-order it in as many places as you can without paying a deposit, and hopefully one will turn up.

As I said earlier too, they've not even been on TV yet, it's all word of mouth, (Someone said they were on radio one the other morning). I guarantee some kids tv show will snag some as cometition prizes in the next few months and then once kids see them pester power will be on full..
  • I think gjchester is very right in what he/she has mentioned. I also think that because Mattel are slow in production, they may just have enough stock for the US only and us in UK may have very limited or no stock at all.

Let's face it, whilst I'm sure it could get tiring after a while, once you first clap eyes on it it's a very impressive toy which only needs to be seen in action on a national UK programme for the demand for these to go sky high.
