Must be buyers that also cannot spell 'Anniversary'0 -
I would love to know how many people have actually successfully sold an elmo to the States. Lots of the completed listings feature US winners with a zero feedback score. Whenever I have sold stuff on ebay the US customers have more often than not failed to realise the amount was GBP not dollars and then tried to send me a cheque in US dollars even though my item descriptions always stated that it was Paypal only from overseas customers! I love holidaying and shopping over there but I do feel the majority of US ebayers have trouble realising there is a world out there that does not operate in US dollars!0

lol americans are generally thick, not all of them. Like the path on side of roads are called side walks for god sake and red and green traffic light men in this country are in the states as walk/dont walk.Kind Regards

I sold one recently to America. It all appears to be ok so far. I think you just have to use a bit of common sense and monitor your auction. If an american with a 0 feedback is constantly the highest bidder, either cancel the bid or risk it. Dont get gready thinking the American guy will pay £70 for it then complain when it goes pear shape.
We all know roughly how much these are selling for so just monitor your auctions accordingly.Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -

I have sold one to the states, she did query what the amount was in dollars but still paid up ok. She did however expect it to arrive pretty much instantly - auction finished late Wednesday, I posted it 1st thing Thursday and she expected it to arrive on Saturday! It arrrived the following Wednesday so took 6 days which I don't think was bad really. All my savings are going on the family holiday!
Off to Majorca again this year ;-)0 -
How much was shipping? And what way did you send it? Just curiousBluey8 wrote:I have sold one to the states, she did query what the amount was in dollars but still paid up ok.
