Hi all,
I am off to a wedding reception in the cotswolds this afternoon and hubby has treated us to a room there for the night. To help ofset the cost I have been very naughty and been to the off licence and bought the booze we will be drinking tonight. I will be hiding it in a bottle in my handbag - lol!!
Does anyone else do this at expensive hotel type places?
Naughty blondie!!:beer:0 -

Yep, my hubbie does this as he's a vodka drinker but I like my lager so it's a bit more difficult to hide a 6 pack in a wee handbag :rotfl:New starting debt 30/12/2018 £30,164.76:eek:

Hi all,
another very usefull thread I have found to join but not sure what I'll be saving today as going out tonight on a hen night. But can I join your club anyway?
I also drink lager and have been known to take cans in a large gift bag (cover over the top with tissue paper) and then pour discretly under the table. I put my empties back in the bag until can dispose of them. Very cheeky I know but cheaper than bar prices and usually a lot tastier!! If taking cold cans from fridge don't forget to put them in a carrier bag inside gift bag.:beer:0 -

Good afternoon.
Mm, what little money saving things have I done today??

carried on with my spending diary
tried to cancel car insurance that I now dont need and relying on one car now not two
spoke to lady across street and three of us are going to help out with childcare 10 mins here and there, pick ups, drop offs etc, instead of relying on paid childcare.
So I didnt think I had done nything but I have.

 I signed up to be an Avon lady yesterday . Am excited and also very nervous!! I have to go out today and distribute my brochures...and it's pouring with rain, I couldn't have chosen a worse day to start :rotfl:. Never mind, I'm sure it'll be worth it! The plan is that if the Avon works out I'll be giving up my ebay efforts (which aren't particularly good anyway).
Hey Jonno - good luck with the meeting, hope it all turns out ok.
So list for today:- Distribute Avon brochures - all done, I got soaked
- Check bank & update spreadsheet
- Pick DD up from station - done
- Surveys

'See' you all later.

Just enjoying a hot cuppa after dropping off all my Avon brochures, well deserved I think. Now let the orders roll in

Naughty blondie!!:beer:Definitely!! Have a lovely time! (And you pay more than enough for your room!)
Welcome along auntiesue & blondeliz!0 -
Did everything on the list and am currently catching up with Celebrity Masterchef on iPlayer as I rarely watch any TV and just hope my PC remembers to record things (TV adaptor on PC = godsend for gamers like me who lose track of time while fighting dragons), usually films and I note I have 'Snake Eyes' with Nic Cage to watch...
Not sure about the painting just yet - needs refining, ended up watching 'The Prestige' was impressed (and didn't realise I was watching David Bowie as Tesla...), saw 'Inception' last week and discovered in my DVD collection I have 'Memento', so possibly will have a Christopher Nolan week, along with 'Batman Begins' and 'Dark Knight'...
I also really wanted to spend some money, so I re-did my Tesco online basket and technically haven't spent anything yet...
And added another 75p to my survey total, so have £1.75! Hehe.0
