i use an old mug to store all the pens and pencils in on top of an note pad block i was given as a pressie.
old coffee jars take up a shelf in cupboard filled with porridge, lentils, flour, stock cubes etc.
one of the kids old brightly coloured plastic 4 shelf unit now holds me extra fruit and veggies.
an old pasta dish doubles as me fruit bowl-good coz its so big.

If your washing Machine has finally died and needs to go to Washing Machine Heaven, dismantle the glass front and it can be used as a large mixing/fruit bowl, I use mine all the time!
I am still using the under shopping basket from the childrens old silver cross pushchair as a veg rack, it must be 25 years old by now.
Please dont throw away any old bedding as anyone who has a dog would really appreciate it, I'm always looking for bedding for my 2 Labs.
I use anything that has space underneath it as storage for old pictures, mirrors and bits of carpets, just in case I need them!
Lastly, I use a old carrier bag for the Winter gloves, scarves and hats and put them under the stairs ready for the following winters use.

Why didnt I think of the bedding for my dog! I have an old duvet heading for the tip, didnt think of using it for my dogs bed.
I usually get old blankets from the charity shop for £1 for my dogs bed, he sheds a lot of hair so I dont wash them just replace them when needed. Each blanket can be cut up into halves or quarters whatever you need.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -

Tiff..he will love it, I'm using my old double duvet for Sam (he's full of Arthritis bless him) and he is so comfy on it, I turn it around now and again as it gets covered in molting fur, once it has had its day it will be thrown out, luckily my friend has got another one in reserve for me:T

Plastic dust bins for garden storage. Things like logs, sawdust for the guineapigs,BBQ stuff, Small garden pots and odds and ends. I use a beermaking bucket for dried dog food and a sweet tin for cat biscuits. On the odd occassion that I buy dried mash, I keep the tub for other dried foods. I also keep tubs from milk powder and cover them with wrapping paper. I use my curtain poles to hang up my just ironed shirts(rare event) and the shower rail to hang up anything I want to dry naturally on a wet day-especialy woolen jumpers to keep a good shape.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0
