I received a phone call from Vodafone today and the man asked if i was happy with my handset. I said I was. He said the discount on my account (a retentions customer) was no longer valid and the minimum term (18 months) doesn't end until November. These were not the terms I negotiated when I renewed my contract, thankfully I have an email from a Vodafone customer advocate confirming that. Otherwise, it would be difficult for me to prove one year on that I requested for an 18 month discount.

Discounts are not usually applied for the last three months of a contract.

The last three months payments go towards your upgrade and the payments received during those three months are what your upgrade price is based on.

Yes, but I have already got the discount amended to apply for the whole 18 months. I will now have to chase Vodafone. If they promise something it should be done.

    Hi misskool,

It's a shame to hear that your discount hasn't been applied in accordance with the confirmation email you received at the time it was agreed. However, as you've retained a copy of the email this will a great help to us with getting this resolved.

If you haven't already got things sorted out could you email your details across to us via the Contact us form on our website here quoting the code WRT135 in the subject line?

Once you've sent it you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number; could you update the thread with this so we can make sure we get and we'll get back to you as soon as we can?

    Kind regards,

    Lee
