Yes, mine was a current account and it took only 3 letters to get the money back! May I ask you as well, when your HSBC debt went to collection agencies did you find it easier to negotiate payments with them, rather than HSBC? Just wondering as I'm just going into that situation now.

  • Hi Flower
HSBC handed over our debts to metropolis ???? which apparently are a part of HSBC so far they have accepted our DMP payments that we were already paying to the HSBC, so in that fact i would say yes
however something realy odd happened...................................hubby had a loan for £17000, odd plus £8000, in % now he had made payments of around £200 off this to his current account through CCCS, but i had a letter from metro, with a blance of settlement figure for £17500:eek:  i dont know whether to cheer or not!!!!!
the thing is i also have one for 15k with 2500% on top and i at the mo owe about £15500, so im hoping that when they pass this over 2.5k will come off too!!!!
    heres hoping

  • Can I take it that you have also tried reclaiming from HSBC?

I have a huge loan with them and I'm not on any kind of DMP as I just about manage each month, They have charged me so much in the past but I'm worried they will close my account and ask for the loan amount back in full.

    Do you have any advise?
