Right - I'm going to show my ignorance now. What are the risks of "named" deals? See, I've got a deal currently in mind (mentioned in my won thread) but am waiting for the CC to clear money! This cheaper deal seems tempting now, as it's exactly what I want for 150 less. Can anyone just take me through a little bit of the risks regarding named deals?

Also - where did you see this deal Sava? Expedia?

    Cheers!

A named deal ...there is no risk at all you know the name of the property you are going to. Its only Allocation on arrival which as the risk, These deals you dont know where your staying till you get to the arrival airport and pose some risk.
But saying that if you could get an allocation on arrival on International drive you would be pretty safe but NOT just a general AOA for florida.
I found that one on Directholidays.co.uk.
If its Florida you really want go for it there are some really good prices out there.
Post your first and last date you can go and which airports you can go from and I will do a good search now all the search engines are up and running right.
List as many airports as poss

Is slightly more expensive but your getting a named hotel on IDrive car hire and standard car insurance included
The hotel is in a good position in Idrive close to wet and wild and some good places to eat if you dont fancy driving all the time.
    Included flight meals too

same hotel a week earlier is 803 and it includes car hire, standard car insurance and flight meals . Both from Manchester
Compared to the deal onThomsons for 742 which is on the 27th Jan only 2* AOA (very risky) and no car hire

  • Hi,
I've never used the forum before so don't know if I have done this correctly! I am struggling to find a cheap Holiday to the Dominican, South or East coast. We can fly from 26.02 - 06.03 and home by 13/14.03, 7 nights only. Gatwick would be best for us but could do any of the London airports. 4 Star rating. 2 adults but not a double bed to share (me and my sister!). Max around £1200.
    Hope someone can help. Thanks

Got a link for that 803 deal? Best price I've seen for it all.

However, in case you can pull a miracle ;)

Can leave from Any Midlands, Manchester, Donny.

Fly from 25th (Very late) to 28th.

Stay must be in Orlando, but we'll be spending sunday night in Miami, so we could fly in and leave from there if it was on the Sunday only.

Monknutsy...I think for the south or east cost you might struggle sloppychops is for the north coast only couple I can find for the south and east are coming out about 1200-1300 for the 2 off you
Superclubs Breezes Punta Cana4* works out to about 650 each
Costa Caribe Coral by Hilton but only a 3* is about 534 each

then your up to the Riu Palace Macao at around 700 each 5*
    they are with portlanddirect

More on the north cost are
Gran Ventana Beach Resort 4* 530 each
    Riu Bachata 4* 500 each
    allaronf the 27th from Gatwick
Thomsons have the 3*+ Grand Paradise Bavaro for £529 each on 2nd March
Thomsons also have Dominican Republic North Riu Ai Selection (select pricebreakers from drop down menu) for 459 each (my sister went on this and was in the Bachata and said it was realy good)
you have to add all the extras to the above price such as flight meals and transfers sorry my PC is playing up and it keep freezing me out
Think I have found one airtours
    Allocated On Arrival

Works out your date is the cheapest apart from 30th Jan same deal other dates you can add 150pp on
    Thats of Internetholidays.co.uk
Even better once I got it working the Mytravel site came up with £1128 for same deal.
I have PMed you with a number she might be able to knock some more off...Its not there through direct or that could have been even cheaper.
Looks like you would be in either of these hotels
    Sirenis Cocotal Beach Resort,
    Iberostar Dominicana-Prestige,
    Punta Cana Princess,
They are the only 5* hotels I can see they have left
