Hi Travelman!
I'm looking for a honeymoon on a budget.
We can fly from London Gatwick or London Heathrow.
For 7 to 10 nights.
From the 2nd of July 2006 flexible up to 3 days.
For 2 Adults
All-inclusive or half board
A romantic resorts with alot of activities near the airport and town.
Preferably the caribbean I'd love to go to St. Lucia or Cape town.
Max Budget £600.00 per person
Please PM me with the results0 -
Help! We're looking for a family holiday for next summer, and I can't believe how expensive the packaged holidays are. Can anyone help us find an affordable holiday? Prepared to book now to get early booking discounts etc. Don't want to wait for last minute bookings as tied to school holidays, and we're the sort of people that like to plan ahead.
We can fly from Manchester or Liverpool.
We want to go for 1 week, or 10/11 days if we can afford it.
Departing on or after Sat 29 July 2006, then up to about 19th August, 'though we would prefer the earlier dates.
Night flights would be acceptable, but not welcome!
2 adults and 1 child aged 12.
Preferably half board in a four-star hotel, a really good 3 star would be acceptable. Hotel to have pool - preferably with water slides.
Not too quiet a resort - but not an 18-30 type resort either - both adults are middle-aged and are not party animals.
Wouldn't consider North Africa, Israel, Bulgaria, Roumania, Albania. We are all fair skinned northern europeans and might find Crete Rhodes etc too hot in August.
Quite like the idea of Kranjska Gora in Slovenia. If it's a beach holiday, want a sandy beach, not concrete, pebbles etc.
Maximum budget - we could probably stretch to about £1700 inclusive of all but spending money, but would prefer to spend considerably less.
My favourite holiday is a gite in Brittany by ferry and self-drive, but wife and son are fed up of this. Want to give son some holidays to remember when he is older, rather than always going to a quiet country gite with no activities or entertainments laid on ... Just been looking at Eurocamp, but for that sort of money might as well go to a package hotel holiday and get your own bathroom and loo!
Maybe we're being a bit too choosy - I'm usually champagne tastes & beer income - but can anyone help?
Best wishes, and season's greetings to you all!

Hi Saveapenny
Thanks for your post. Unfortunately 15th is no good for us because of work commitments, so 22nd is our only option. Do you reckon that my £681 is about as cheap as I'm going to get it?
Thanks0 -
