Hi All,
We are currently looking to book a gite in France, and the owner can only handle cheque payments. We are reasonably sure that the holiday is there and valid, however. Does anyone have any knowledge about how to protect against holidays that are not covered by an organisational body like ABTA etc?
I think that there must be something available in view of the high number of holidays that are now booked independently on-line.

I might be wrong be I think the only other protection is credit card or for things like personal health and cancellation is covered by insurance. Maybe one of the Travel agents might be able to give more detailed info

Hotel is still there although its gone up a little to £291.30.Its in Puerto de Alcudia.
