TheHerds ...Tell your auntie its monsoon season then
Last time we were there (left 11 June) we saw about 2 days of sunshine out of 14 and some days it was really cold.
If she still wants to risk it and go.
Try these http://www.sey.net/m_planclub.asp hotel is about £1630 BB quieter location http://www.sey.net/photogallery/PhGalLib/PlantationBeach3.jpg this is how the beaches really are...2 people and they are crowded. Then add a flight for about 400-500 each with airseychelles

http://www.sey.net/m_coral.asp is cheaper about £1210 BB but its on Beau Vallon Beach at the north of the island and its a lot busier up there.

    see what I mean

    Hotel prices are per room
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

  • thanks saveapenny, very kind of you to look so quickly!

i think we may have to stretch our budget just a bit!

very few rooms which hold a family of 4 , so having to book 2 rooms costs a lot more than i thought.

grateful for any more thoughts on this

You dont say how many people are going?
Obviously that quote is per person? who did you get the quote from?

  • 1-any London airport
    2-a week or 10 days
3- earliest we can go is 31st March and the last date we can go is third week of April - basically we can go and return any time in April - not restricted by bank holidays or school holidays.
4-Are night flights acceptable - no
5-two adults and three children, two are babies under 2 and one is aged 11
    6-all-inclusive or h/b or f/b
7-Type of resort, must be quiet
8-not interested in going anywhere more than three hours flight away
9-(a)must have childcare for babies, a crech or nursery with English speaking staff for min of 6 hrs a day (not just a lady that comes to the room for the day) and evening babysitting or evening baby listening. (b)Must have interconnecting room for the babies/two cots. (c) Must have at least one large heated pool (if weather is cool/warm only).(d) must be somewhere that vaccinations or malaria medication is not needed (e) would like somewhere that can offer spa facilities and treatments but not essential. (f) need somewhere that can collect us from airport with proper baby-seats in car/minibus.
    10-happy to book ASAP

11-We are knackered and want a bit of luxury - will pay £3,000 for the whole party, could go a bit extra for something really special.

Or - the alternative we have been thinking about is if we can get business class flights to the USA for £3,000 and a luxury hotel for extra £1,000 at that end, may be a bargain to be had given the exchange rates? Is this possible? Not bothered what part of the USA - as little flying time as possible please, know it will take a lot longer than three hours but figure business class flights might take some of the stress out of travelling with small ones?
