    I've been Money Tipped!
Hope you can help - we're looking to get an apartment in Barcelona for the last 2 weeks in August - have to be back by the 1st September by latest. Will probably go through homelidays.com to get our apartment but forgot to book flights early (usually book in Dec)

So as you can imagine the cheaper ones have now gone(sigh)
We can fly from anywhere in the Midlands or London - whichever is cheapest and want to land at the proper Barcelona Airport - not the Easyjet or Ryanair one which is miles away(lol I know it's one of those airlines but can't remember which one)

    Hope you can help????

  • Hi all. I am looking for a better price on a package holiday-details are as follows -
    Virgin Holidays Families brochure
    page 36 - yosemite adventures+san francisco+las vegas
Want to go in Feb or march 2008
two adults, three children (ages 17, 14, 12)
We don't mind what dates (in fact chose feb/march as it was cheaper but any time between Feb-April would be fine)
Don't mind what airline but we have never flown before so would prefer a well known operator)
Virgin package includes car hire and travel insurance and consists of -
Day 1-3 London to san fransisco staying in Grand Hyatt hotel (have to have 2 rooms due to ages of children).
Day 4: yosemite national park (would use hire car to drive there). will have personal guide included in price. (again 2 lodges due to kids ages)
Day 5: tailored walk with personal guide
    Day 6: as day 5
Day 7: sunset walk with guide and picninc in mounains (inc in price)
Day 8: drive to las vegas, staying in luxor hotel. (you guessed it 2 rooms!)
according to virgin we would fly out of heathrow and fly back into gatwick (or could be the other way round!)
    Virgin price: £5,669

Bit of background: we have never been abroad or flown before so really dont know what to expect. I don't think we are experienced/confident enough to arrange all the details on our own so want it as hassle free as possible. the virgin price also includes the car insurance and all fees. Basically we want to pay for everything before we go so we can relax when we get there.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received and sorry if i sound a bit dim in these matters but to be honest i haven't got a clue about booking holidays at all!!

Right after much messing about and dithering, I think we have decided what is happening for the summer hols this year.

We can fly 30th June for 2 weeks.
Now it would appear that Virgin are flying from Glasgow at this time which would be absolutely ideal.
Want a treat so it is premium economy. Just over £3k and I know I can get a huge 1% back through quidco. The strange thing is I can't find any Virgin holidays only the Premium economy flights. Which is a bit odd, or I am looking in the wrong place.
Ideally would like to stay in a townhouse/villa/suites type place so we can self cater some of the time and just chill.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for any help
