What a stupidly expensive place it is!
Last year I took 10 people for 10 days in Germany and 4 days in Prague (peak season) for under £3,500 including flights, accomodation and car hire (of which I had to pay 3/10 - £1,050).
This year we are looking at Italy, again for 10, but I am having trouble finding 1 weeks accomodation alone for that sort of money, so it looks like a minimum of £8,000 (of which I have to pay 7/10 - £5,600) which is out of the question.
What I'm looking for is:- Two weeks anytime mid July to Mid August
- Fly Gatwick - Milan (Easyjet, around £30 a head)
- One week in the lake district (villa - proper bedrooms, no sofa beds)
- 2-3 days in Tuscany/Umbria (agritourismo)
- 2-3 days in Rome (agritourismo/hotel)
- Fly Rome-Gatwick (Easyjet again, around £30 a head)
- Total budget £5,000 tops (less if possible)
The problem is compounded by the fact my sister lives in Italy (hence the trip to Umbria) and I foolishly told her we were coming before I had researched it and she will be very disappointed if we don't show.
Failing that can anyone suggest an alternative suitable for a large party of mixed ages (15-50)? I thought of Florida, which would please the younger travellers but I'm sure it would bore me stupid.
Any ideas welcome.0 -
Hi any chance there is flights to turkey between the 27th July to 3rd August for 2 adults one child of 14 (15 on 9 th Aug) and one 6 year old. For a week please.
I really need it to come in under £800 if that is possible (if not ill leave hubby at home:j )
Thanks Lisa0 -

Hi there, Just looking for a bargain package deal with the following info-
2 adults & 1 child (aged 4)
Can travel anytime between 31/3/07 & 4/4/07
7 days (would much prefer 10 but it seems to really limit the availibilty & scope for a bargain doesn it?)
Would like 2 bedrooms/family room if poss
Airports - best for us would be Bournmouth/Southampton/Exeter/Bristol or Gatwick at a push
Don't really want a night flight if poss
Destination - Greece or Canaries - the resort not too hectic though please - it would be nice to go somewhere that caters for kids & adults especially at night
Quite near a beach - easily walkable for a 4 yr old
Max budget £1,000
Hope thats not too much info, I'm a bit of a newbie so please forgive me if I've missed something.
Thanks so much for your help, Love Mummy Mummy0 -
