Hi, a friend who is staying with me discovered today that their gran has passed away. They need to urgently return to Chisinau in Moldova tomorrow (16th) or wednesday (17th) at the latest.

So it would be a one-way flight and they can start their journey at either Glasgow, Glasgow Prestwick or Edinburgh airports. The airport code for Chisinau is, I think, KIV. I'm trying to help them find the cheapest possible flights with the added pressure of it really being quite urgent.

I do hope somebody can help as I'm all at sea here!

I'll check back in an hour or so. Thanks

some options if you are willing to change a couple of times, as direct flights will be attracting a premium at this late stage

looks like the best will be to fly down to Amersterdam & then fly with Malev via Budapest.

Easyjet Edi - Ams is £71.99
2hrs 30 min connection (would need to recheck in but this should be OK)
    Malev (via expedia) is £254.90

Lots of airports on the continent seem to have cheap flights via Vienna or Prague, so worth having a fiddle around in Expedia & on the lo cost airlines.

Yes dates can be flexible and very happy to avoid Easter. We could make February if the dates are cheaper. Thank you

Theres no way your going to get Fuerteventura(any Canaries) within your budget in the school holidays. As £1300 is a very small budget for 7 people and i honestly think you will struggle to get anywhere, unless you are a little flexible with departure airport, dates and budget.
