I wonder if anyone could find me a good holiday to Greece or Greek Islands for my boyfriend and I.

We fancy Greece or Islands but know nothing about them really. I have read up on some of the Islands but we are still confused as to where to go.

We would like to fly from Glasgow on or around 15th Sep for 2 weeks and would prefer to go self catering but would also consider half board.
We would like nicest place money could buy 3*+ or 4* if possible and we have a budget of 500 pound each for both flights and accommodation.

It would be great if we could stay in a resort that is not a long transfer time from the airport and a harbour or old town near by would be good.
I think I fancy Rhodes but need some desperate help!

I'm asking alot I know but any help would be appreciated :j

Thanks for the info. The £3500 was just for the accommodation. I have now booked this morning with MyTravel going premier class and upgraded room to Ocean View at a cost of £4826. It was the best price at the time but now seen exactly the same holiday via the link you gave for £4606, £220 quid less. Co-incidentally, looks like MyTravel and Direct Holidays maybe the same company as all website template details and searching etc. are identical. If i were to ring MyTravel and make them aware of their "sister" offering the same deal cheaper, do you think i would get anywhere.

By the way both MyTravel and Direct Holidays are trackable via Quidco and i am currently looking at a possible saving there of £193.07 on the MyTravel booking. Would be nice to get the Direct Holiday price and Quidco. What do you MSE'rs think, worth a try? Has anybody ever had experience of this?

my husband has just found out he has a few more days left of annual leave that he didnt know about and so has booked friday 15th feb and tuesady 19th feb, my birthday falls on the 18th of feb and we thought we would like a few days away. just me, hubbie and 15 yr old son. we have a few travel lodge deals booked in the uk and so fancied somewhere further afield. i have seen some great flight prices to new york average £198 return but no luck with accomodation at under $100 a night. we have not set a budget as such as we want to book a fortnight away somewhere hot in july. so really the cheaper the better. would we be better looking at somewhere in europe?? for a good deal? not many places hot that time of year and obviously dont want to spend the four days travelling. the other thing to take into consideration is that i have limited mobility. although i can walk it is only short distances and the rest of the time am in wheelchair. have not tried the euro tunnel yet so that could be a possability? where would you suggest for a bargain long weekend in mid feb?

estoril...yes my travel is sister company to direct holidays ,airtours,aspro etc etc.....If you have booked your holiday im sure you have 24hrs to price match .
also regarding Quidco to receieve cash back you must book through there link....so think you have lost that cashback....I stand corrected if im wrong...

Thanks for that. Yes, i did book the MyTravel hol through the quidco link and i am currently showing 193.07 tracked (tracked with an *, I am new to quidco so not quite sure what that means, looks as though expected payment is Feb2007. If i get it then it will be a nice little bonus).

I am going to call MyTravel this morning to see what they say. I was just reading the t&c's and if i cancel, it looks like i lose the deposit which was £300. The direct hols deposit was only £2.00.
