I'm getting no joy looking for this for myself.

Anyone got any ideas where else I can look for cheap flights with or without accomodation to Orlando or Miami on 12th August?
1- Prefer any London but willing to travel for great deal!
2- Prefer 14 nights but one or two less if great deal
3- Prefer 12th August but day or two later acceptable, must be back in UK on 27th Aug
    4- Yes night flights acceptable
    5- 2 Adults
6- don't care but breakfast included would be a bonus
7- Anywhere in Florida, prefer quiet
8- Prefer accomodation not in Miami
9- Good value more important than cheap
10- Ready to book now, girlfriend would be happier if I don't leave it till 12th August morning
11- Would be great if flights only available for under £500 but will pay up to £800 for flight or £1400 for flight + 3* or 4* accomodation

What we're actually planning is to stay in Orlando area for a few days, hire a car, then head down to say Naples or somewhere similar for a week and then back to Orlando area for the last few days.

I was thinking of booking my own 3* or 4* accomodation on Hotwire even if we got a silly priced package deal including say a 1* or 2* motel thrown in as it seems this could be a cheaper way of getting a flight over there. I'm happy for anyone to point out any flaws or the stupidity in doing this if appropriate.

celticsprite...whats the best price you have found and the date?
Have you been on OV before? its a very informal ship if that is what you want its nice aslo Island Star seems to be coming out better value and is gettign good reviews. I have been on OV but not the Star yet...lol

    hi saveapenny,

hadn't considered the island star, but brought the brochure home and it looks good so far. We've been quoted £600pp leaving on 02/09 from stansted for a weeks cruise called "the Rivieras".

We just need a break to be honest and my OH has got cruising under his skin at the mo' - we'll see how he copes if he gets sea sick! ;)

I thought he'd be a bit fussier about the ports of call, but it seems he just wants to go somehwere, switch off the mobiles and ignore the news for a week...

Thanks for those Saveapenny, unfortunately none had dates available for the 12th August or even a nearby date.

The best I've found so far is a flydrive (no accom) £509+fees pp on teletext = £1058 total. Quite frustrating when there were deals at £199pp for last Saturday!

Dilemma now is do I wait until nearer the weekend for a better deal (presumably someone somewhere will be cancelling their holiday/flight for whatever reason or operators will reduce their prices if they have spare seats), book now at twice what I really wanted to pay or just decide to go elsewhere? Decisions... decisions.

I am told that Venice in November is pretty miserable weather wise, but also very atmospheric, but I have picked up on hints that my girlfriend would love to here for her 40th (which I can't move unfortunately!).
If anyone really strongly advises against this then I will appreciate feedback, as I could have some influence over spending money more sensibly whilst also having a lovely city break!

    So here we go!
Her birthday is 14th November. So we definitely need to be there on that full day.
I need to do it as reasonably as possible, whilst not making her feel like we are roughing it!

    1-Leeds, Manchester
2-The best for a good deal. Short break.
3-Any around the 14th Nov to Include the full day of 14th in holiday.
4-Night flights acceptable, but much prefer not to be.
    5-2 adults
    6-self-catering preferred
    7-quieter places
8-Don't want to be over the causeway thing!
9-Would like self catering with own access e.g. not in family home!
10-Central Stay close to St Marks square
    11-£400

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

My sister and I are looking to go to New York in December for her 30th Birthday.

    1. Airport - Manchester
    2. Duration - 6 or 7 nights
    3. Dates - depart 14th/15th December return 21/22 December
    4. Night flights don't mind returning on a night flight
    5. Party size - 2 adults
    6. Board - Room only or B&B.
    7. Location - well a good central location preferred as we'd like to go shopping !
    8. Other factors - would be nice to maybe get tickets or a deal for a broadway show so I can suprise my sister
    9. Price req by - by middle/end of next week
    10. Max budget - ideally don't want to spend more than £600 each if that's realistic for that time of year.

Any help or advice would be gratefully received. Thank you

celticsprite...600pp is way over the top for a weeks cruise oon either the OV or the Star you should be looking at no more than 500pp https://www.savensail.com at the minute are quoting 569pp for the Star but loads of cabins left so this will comedown
https://www.1st4cruising.com are qoting 536pp for the 9th September on the Star
They are also quoting 855pp for a 2 week cruise on OV on the 19th
https://www.savensail.com were offering an upgrade to balcony in July for 649 and I bet the same offer will be on once the kids go back to school if you are realy flexibale or can go at last minute wait if not see a price you can afford by going through telextext (page 227 ITV) and book the dates you want
