    Hi There.

We're after a week away in August. It will be my partner's 40th birthday on 5th August and we'd like to celebrate quietly in a chilled out, laid back kinda place.
We spend all of December in Goa and have enjoyed travelling in Indonesia, North Africa and Malaysia. After a traumatic 6 months we just want to relax and unwind. We have no kids and like nothing better than lazy days on the beach, swimming in the sea and nights chilling with a couple of beers watching the sunset.

1-Birmingham or East Mids but can do Manchester if we have to.
    2-7 nights
3-Between 1st and 4th August 2006 (as long as we are there for 5th August and don't have to fly back with a hangover)
    4-Night flights acceptable
    5- 2 adults
6- We prefer basic! So room only, self catering or B&B if the price is right.
7- Fairly quiet, maybe a handful of tavernas/bars that serve local dishes.
8-Blackpool in the sun..no thanks! No theme pubs, burger bars, lager louts etc., Not into family resorts or screaming kids.
9-Nice beach, a few tavernas/bars, some historical interest or natural beauty is always a plus.
10-Beach essential. Don't mind sand or pebbles! Recently had surgery but happy with moderate walking.
11-Up to around £700. That's the total budget for both of us

    Thanks!!

    Part of the Furniture
Hi, this is my first posting, a friend recommended this as a great way to ask the experts about travel......I hope this request isn't too specific (as we have named a couple of hotels we are interested in) and also it is to get a good deal for a June/July 2007 holiday by booking it now...
    here goes....
    1-Gatwick/Stanstead
    2-7nights
3-leave anytime in June 2007 and July 2007 (before school hols) – very flexible with dates
    4-yes to night flights
5-2 adults and one age 5 child
    6-Half board
7-either stay at Lanzarote princess, Playa Blanca in Lanzarote
or Club Barcelo El Apts, Costa Caleta (caleta de fuste) in Fuertevenura
or Hotel Barcelo, Costa Caleta (caleta de fuste) in Fuerteventura
11-despite the adverts you see and booking a year ahead I have not been able to find any real ‘deals’ on these places. No free child places etc. Budget £800 - £850

many thanks for your help with this...

11th June xl.com £407 using divers code to Lanzarote
then £483.00 for the Lanzartote Princess with https://www.somewhere2stay.com
I would book your flight to which island you want then wait till all the companies have released the prices for 2007 for hotel somewhere2stay is one of the few that have released more will follow in the next few months or just wait till last minute (unless you have to book time off work early)

same flight booking it now for this year would be £281
    H10 Lanzarote Princess £460 with wintersunshine -5% £437
    based on June 22nd 06

Found a slightly cheaper flight to Lanzarote 401 on the 13th June 07 with https://www.thomsonfly.com every penny helps :)
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

Where do you want to fly from?
Is that for a week or 2?
