  • Hi

Hope it's not too early for this request but we're looking for a 2 week holiday next May or June.
Departing on a weekend from any Scottish airport.
Party size is 2 adults, one child (3 in may) and one 1 year old.
Preferably self catering in an apartment
Looking to spend under 1000/1200 quid for the lot.
Resort is where we're not particularly picky but we're thinking maybe the algarve, cyprus or italy. If anyone can find a lovely wee trip to the caribbean we wouldn't complain. :D As long as it's suitable for families we'll be happy. Already been to some spanish, greek and bulgarian resorts so not interested in going back there.

As I say, hope it's not early for this request, if it is I'll pop back later.

    Thanks

    Hi I hope you can help;
I am hoping to go away this Summer but i am worried that I've left it too late for my budget but here goes.
    1.Airport manchester, liverpool or blackpool
    2.duration 14 days
    3. anytime between July 22nd and August 19th 2006
    4. night flights ok
    5. 2 adults 2 kids aged 10 and 12
    6. any board
    7. quiet resort but with public transport for sight seeing - don't want to have to hire a car
    8. prefer not the Canaries and have bad memories of Dalaman airport but otherwise open minded. We loved Greece and Spain
    9. prefer nice accommodation with air conditioning. we like mooching about on holiday and not just lying on a beach
    10. as soon as possible I desperately need something to look forward to!
    11. budget - is £1500 unrealistic? could go higher if half board or AI

I am still hoping to sort this out over the next couple of days and would appreciate any ideasThanks in anticipation of your time

OK guys and gals, here's a rather specialised one!

What's the best you can do for an 'M' or 'H' econony flight with United (so I can upgrade with 'miles'!):

    1-From Heathrow
    2-14 nights at hotel
3-Early in November (returning by 23rd)
4-Are night flights acceptable ? Yes
    5-2 adults
    6-B&B
    7-Waikiki (Queen Kapiolani?)
8-Any resorts you WOULD NOT go to? Depends!
9-No special requests - maybe inc. transfers
10-Prices required by what day/time? ASAP!
11-Max. budget FOR THE WHOLE PARTY!!! £2200.

Expedia can do 'Q' or 'W' class for c£900 each.

Firstly, you'll need to phone UA reservations and ask them what flights have availability to upgrade using miles.
Just looking on their website for M or H fares WON'T guarantee you that there will be availability (even if it says its "eligible"!)
And ... for what its worth, its far better going for a B fare.
Use less miles to upgrade and you get 150% EQM's.
That flight alone will bump you up to Premier status.
    Hope that helps
