Wildfire Googlemail problems

Can someone help me please as im trying to get a wildfire to Sync with googlemail so that whenever a e mail gets sent to the e mail in box it goes to the phone as well but im having big problems with it.

I have sent up the pop3 with the right username and password and the right settings taken from the GMail website but its not having any of it.

Im trying to get it to sync to the Mail bit on the phone where it tells you on the icon how many e mails they are(not the red and white google mail one) as it worked on another phone i had and i like it so that i can read e mails on the phone and delete them from the phone and then it also deletes them from my desktop account as well.

Please help someone.

Personally that HTC one is not as good as the GMail one. I'd use the GMail App and download a widget called Gmail unread count, to get the unread number. GMail app is better for viewing IMO.

Check your accounts and sync settings too under settings-accounts and sync.

HTC Mail settings are as follows for me which works- should be e-mail address and username (same as e-mail address) followed by your password. Pop should be imap.gmail.com, security type SSL and server port 995. I no longer use it however. Also worth checking your download frequency too in HTC apps.
