  • I have just received the answer from pigsbacks customer service:

    Hi Jonas,

Please accept my apologies, but I am unable to mobile validate your account.

Our mobile validation procedure can only accept UK or Irish mobile numbers; therefore you cannot use your mobile number. It states in our registration process, in the personal details section, to advise us of the country you reside, the options given are UK, Ireland, or Northern Ireland.
These options are there because we do not currently have the facilities to process rewards for members situated in countries other than the UK, Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Again, apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    Kind Regards,

I guess they have received a lot of these e-mails and have decided not to validate people outside the UK anymore.

to t-sharp: It was not my intention that you should give me your mobile number. I only have a problem getting my account validated and thought that there was a possibility that i was not the only one. Please receive my apology for not formulating myself well enough.

Aaghhh I'm so stupid. I signed up for the audible thing and I've forgotten to cancel. :wall:

I haven't even got an excuse for forgetting. Oh well I've downloaded 2 more books, might as well get my monies worth. Might even leave it another month for the extra 600 PP if there's anything else I want to download.

    :o

Oooh thanks for posting that I forgot to cancel my audible account, just checked and it was due to be "renewed" in a couple of days, you have just saved me £14.99 :D

OK, well what you need is a UK address and a UK SIM card for a mobile phone.

I can't help you with the first, but if you have a UK address at your disposal, I can send you a Vodafone SIM card, which I think will be fine for you to use, especially during a visit to the UK.

If you would like a SIM card, PM me with your postal address and I will send one to you.

In case anyone was wondering, this is from the Ts & Cs on the PB site:
The Pigsback.com Programme is for the use of residents of Ireland and the United Kingdom. Residents of other countries will be accepted into the Pigsback.com Programme
