i opened a money bookers acc today and it was very quick and easy. i also read the T and C's for dublinbet and from what i understood you can decline the bonus payments when you transfer your pp's. still one thing i need to find out...i opened a GBP acc with money bookers but dublinbet only deal in euros,
will i be charged by money bookers to exchange these back to GBP's? anyone else know pls?

Does anyone use moneybookers? I haven't got an account so don't know if its easy/fast/safe - that kind of thing!

    Hi
We've had an account for a couple of years. We don't often use it as it's intended, Paypal-style, but rather as a cheap way of moving money from the UK to France.

It's free to add money to your account, and to receive money. There's a 1% (capped at €0.50) charge to send money. Also it costs €1.80 to withdraw funds to your bank. Loading my moneybookers account is via BACS and usually takes 3-5 days.

Any problems (very rare), we've had emails replied to within a day or thereabouts. There is also a phone number if it's more urgent.

They are regulated by the FSA, but I believe it's not the same system as that which regulates banks (up to £36k safe, or whatever it is); from memory, the rules simply state they have to maintain a positive balance of £X on their own accounts. We feel totally safe moving a few hundred quid at a time through them; they've been around few a while now, operate in numerous countries and apparently have 2million users.

Incidentally, they're currently offering 20% off CDWOW orders if you pay by moneybookers. They're at http://www.moneybookers.com (or PM me for a referral link).

Moneybookers use a rate within a smidge* of the ECB figure, much better than tourist rates (and most bank rates).

*I think the exact figure is on their website somewhere.
