I registered at7.20 last week, but I had already downloaded the software, it doens say somewhere that you have to be ready 10 mins before hand but not sure how strict this works.

As long as you've registered for the tournament and are logged into Betfair at 7.30, you don't need to worry. The tournament will start and you'll get automatically allocated to a table

If you're busy at that time - putting babies to bed, eating dinner etc - then you'll get set as "away" meaning that you won't play any hands. All that will happen is that you'll pay your blinds as and when it's your turn

So if the first chance you got to sit down and play was 7.45, you'd probably have around 1,400 chips left (out of starting 1,500) and can start to participate in hands

Just make sure you've registered for the tournament on Betfair and are logged into the system at 7.30 and the above will happen no probs


As a footnote, the OH is trying out a roast dinner tonight, so not sure I'm going to be able to play - grrrrrr! Don't think she'll be too happy if I've got a plate on my lap and the computer in front of me!

thanks redrum for the reply- can you tell from my screenshot if i am all ready to go? ie as long as i leave it open, will i get logged into the game?

i know this sounds a silly question but im new to pigsback, you know when it says you must use your pigsback email address to sign up for certain things, does it just mean my normal personal email address that pigsback emails me on or does pigsback actually give you one which i am missing? thanks xx and just want to say thanks to everybody who adds things to this thread to make points its great

It just means the email address that you have registered with pigsback so, yes, the one they send you emails on and that you use to log in!

Tankgirl... I'm pretty sure you are logged in from that screen shot, don't think you could see that list of entrants if not. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong I hope!

On your screenshot there is a window (under the other one) entitled 'Lobby' - on there it should say your username or poker alias if you are logged in. I think :think:

You could put up a pic for someone to check!
