From Audible's site, I emailed them to ask about trial membership cancellation. I received an automatic reply, indicating that cancellation online is easily achieved.

Cheers, just signed up and canceled :) Hopefully should get £5 for it

I've signed up for this - the 14 days is nearly up- not had points just yet. Been on to site today and from what i can see you can withdraw the money but in dollars????? Could be wrong - just my interpretation of my account.
I looked at it that i will be £4-5 up anyway from the 1000 points offer but if anyone can let me know their experience - would be good :D

edit - sorry Matt posts overlapped

    Hey, as for the points:
    Thank you for your e-mail.

I am very sorry but we are waiting on Skilljam to confirm with us which members have registered with them through Pigsback.com since the 11th September. Apologies for this delay however your PiggyPoints will be credited as soon as we receive this confirmation.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Then i asked how long it would be:
Unfortunately we do not know when Skilljam will send us the file, we have requested them to send it as we expect to receive it every 2 weeks. Hopefully it will arrive soon.

I'm pretty sure that was for JackPot Joy. Skill Jam is alright but they only way you can get your money back is through a US cheque, and most bank usually charges you roughly £10 for a foreign cheque (Abbey that is, dont know about others)

When I withdrew my money Skilljam made the payment through Paypal which was nice. I was expecting a cheque TBH but Paypal was better.

I deposited just over £8 and got back more than £6 after the withdrawal fee so not a bad profit - did have to chase for my points though but only once.

Have you gone through post 2 of the thread for all current offers/questions? And refreshed for all your clickthroughs? If so... you'll have to wait until monday probably! :)

Yes, I signed up, too. Didn't download the Audible Download Manager, though, because we already have it. When you download files, they are "stamped" with your username as part of the filename. It would be interesting to see whether simply renaming a file by changing one username to another would allow the file to play.

I've also just done a small experiment. I had a trial membership some time ago, before we became full members. At that time, I burned one of my free downloads onto CD. I've just tried the CD, and it plays fine in my PC drive. The CD track names are "track01.cda" etc. So you should be able to play your CDs, if you make any, anywhere.

As for getting your £5, well, I wonder how far through the mebership you have to go ... Is it just providing your details and card number; or is it downloading the Manager software; or can you only qualify after downloading an audiobook?
