Kitten food recommendations

We have just got a 12week kitten.
We have only previously had adult cats, and they've had Arden Grange biscuits and various wet food types (they were/are fussy so mixture of whiskas, felix, gourmet, supermarket).
Anyone got any good recommendations for dry kitten food which are good quality?
Mainly the dry food, we try to keep the wet food varied so they don't get bored.
Thanks!

Get them off anything like Whiskas.. it's fast food for cats.
I personally LOVE Hills Science Plan Kitten Food, and so does my kitten! :rotfl: It's very filling, and good for hungry stomachs. She was a terrible toileter when we got her- and no one wanted to clean it... but on dry food she's much more, well it's not so bad!
Our little madam is very fussy and only eats fish flavour anything, so she gets biscuits most days, and occassionally we mix in some wet food.
I have found Feline Fayre- in Asda- to be particularly good. It's got about 60% real fish in it (or meat in the meaty ones) and it's CHEAP! Off the top of my head it's less than £1 for 8 sachets.
Cheap, but not the bad kind!
Most people on here rave about it as well... so you can't go wrong!MFW 2010- £112,500 + 20% Equity Loan = £150,000 35 years

My 2 cats have been on Purely from Pets at Home since they were kittens. We have recently discovered Applaws and they absolutely love it but it is quite expensive so they only have it some of them time!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0

IAMS is the very last food I would feed to a cat!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Really? why is that?0 -
Iams uses Wheat can cause cystitis and very unethical product. With cats they are carnivores they want high good quality protein moderate fat and low carb. Orijen perfect, Applaws dry great and anything without BHT BHA would be better than most - Hills brag about an antioxidant formula.. but when you contact them to find out what it is - it is banned chemicals that has links to cancer! Thanks. First ingredient is maize - cheap filler. Arden Grange looks good natural etc.Help me to help you :santa2:0

Yeah good kitten foods are over priced. But I still pay the extra to make sure the cat gets the best start in life. Cheap food is cheap for a reason I guess.sweetsounding wrote: »Can't go wrong with Iams, kitten loves it but darned expensive!0 -
Nice one Rev for posting those links to Pet forum....lots of useful unbiased info there.
Personally I would forget any notion of special food for a kitten and feed Orijen as a dry food, Bozita or Animonda carny as a wet food.0
