    Hi FB,

I'll have a go at this. I'll take February 2011 for $200 please - base rate up to 0.75%. I do worry a wee bit for the people that are tying themselves into deals that will cripple them if the rate rockets. I vaguely remember interest rates hitting something stupid like 17% in the early 90s. If we get above 5%, I might yet get to have a go at this stoozing lark!

    Cheers,

    Billy

Don't know if that puts a little more pressure on the BoE to increase rates come their October meet?

I think an increase of 0.5% in Aug 2011
followed by 1% increase in Jan 2012

As I'm on a fixed rate for the term of my mortgage so I'd love the rate to go up as of yesterday!
  • Minutes now out for the September MPC meeting.

8:1 vote to hold rates. Andrew Sentance again votes to raise the base rate.
