Telfer, good luck. I am on your side in this. We are now on the computer age surely when you pay over the counter and and they have credited your payment to their system it will take only seconds isn't it? Considering the advance technology that the banks claimed that they have it should not take 3-5 days for your payment to appear in their central payment center (whatever it's called). If it was four years ago as in my case they might have an excuse.

It’s a ‘penalty’ nothing more nothing less and if others are prepared to accept a situation such as this in 2006 I’m not.
Did you hold this opinion before you got caught out or is it now only that you have received a fine?
This being the case, I shall use my best endeavours to enjoy a paid days holiday from work wasting their time and money defending a case presented by one of their delinquent customers. If you know what I mean?
