3 - Outrageous customer service

  • Hi,

I dont have a problem with the 'Indian' part of call centre at all- I couldnt care less where they reside.

In fact it was the same call centre that phoned me back and fixed the issue, and yes they were very kind and courteous.
  • Got a phone call from three customer services on the 16Sep - a guy from a call centre in India. He told me that i had been chosen for free add ons because i was a 'Grade A customer' - anyway he proceeded to tell me that i would get the unlimited TV and 15Mb internet add on. I said thank you very much - he asked me for my postcode and date of birth, which i gave. Then told me to switch off the phone after 8 hours. He congratulated me, i said thanks again and the conversation ended.

Sure enough, i got my add ons....but i also got my next bill and had been charged £10 for these two add ons.

Got onto customer services (India call centre) - complained to them, could hardly understand the accent, was told they couldn't refund me but that they would cancel the addons on the 16Oct.
I asked for the name of the guy who had called me - got it, and got the address to post a letter off to (Glasgow).

I've sent off an email, basically saying i want my money back, some investigation into the guy that called me and if there not, i'd be leaving three when my contract finishes in Nov.
To say i'm angry is an understatement.

I'm wondering what my rights are - i hope the call the man made to me had been recorded...doubtful. Any of you experienced this before? What did you do?
  • You're doing the same as what I did- hopefully you will get a call in about 4 days putting it right (thats what I got anyway). I get lots of people from the indian call centre phoning about once every three weeks trying to get me to get add-ons etc I just put the phone down. They are very persistent though.
  • After speaking to customer services in India I wasn't getting anywhere so I wrote to customer services in Glasgow. I got a call about 4 days after sending the letter and I got the problem sorted.
