O2 HTC desire. is this a decent deal?

Hi guys,

I was wondering what people thought about this deal. O2 werent the best at trying to haggle with. also meant to say its 18 months.

£42/month
1100minutes
unlimited texts
750mg fair usage internet
phone free (HTC desire)

also i know the htc desire hd is due for release in september but any ideas as to when o2 will be selling it?

    THAT IS A RUBBISH DEAL as a new customer buying direct from t mobile you can get 1200 mins unlimited texts unlimted internet 3gb fup for £35 or £40 on a 18 month contract!

    where did you see that deal? the best I could see was £40 for 1200mins and 500 texts.
    plus tmobile signal isnt great at one of my places of work. but wouldnt mind that if i had a good deal

    on there website you pick the unlimited texts as your free flexible booster and its the £40 you mentioned but for £35 on 24 month contract
