    now that is interesting.
i should be on 900mg now but I've decided to stay on 300mg a day, as i don't want them to stop working for me too soon.

Did your gp give you those. I thought they were for MS, and epilepsy, but seeing as it helps neuropathic pain, then good i am glad it is being given to those with fibro, (i wish i had it last year)

    Sorry to butt in.
I have fibro and take pregabalin (lyrica) 450mg daily. It helps but I still have bad days as well as good -
I also receive DLA - HRM & LRC.
I work full time and don't receive any working tax credit.

Re Gabapentin, I was taking 2x3oomg before I went to bed at night but found that they absolutely zonked me and as the bathroom is at the top of the stairs I frightened myself when I nearly fell down them and only saved myself by hanging on to the bannisters. so now I take 400mg before bed and 100mg twice three times a day. I also have co-codamol and find that the dispersable ones work better but GP won't prescribe them as they contain salt.

I also have an overactive thyroid whether that's connected or not I don't know, the gabapentin was prescribed by my GP.

I get no DLA, was turned down at tribunal when I was browbeaten into submission by a panel who usually sit on the tribunal for IS etc and didn't have the heart for it again

I take Pregabalin (Lyrica), I have M.E. and take the maximum dose possible of 600mg a day.

I have read somewhere that it is better than Gabapentin - stronger and more effective, but not many doctors prescribe it as it is more expensive apparently. I don't know if this is true.
