A little disappointed as I still have to open the thread to see if I've entered, which is no different to me checking the thanks.:obargainhuntergal wrote: »Are you on the old style version of the forum? I think that's how it works on that one.
If you're on the old one and want to change it, go into User CP at the top, and then click Edit Options on the left, at the bottom of the options there's a dropdown box with the different styles to choose from

could also use the

nice, but would it not be better if it also gave thanks automatically at the same time?0

Yeah I agree. Great to see the green tick so I know Ive entered (what a relief when you are trawling through comps, particularly at the end of the month when its manic!!) However a combined button would surely make more sense. You want to thank the poster of course but also have a quick reminder that you have entered without opening the threads to check.
Much appreciated anyway - so much easier. Thank youxx

i enter comps by end date so having to use the search, so no green ticks, so still have to go into comp to see if i've entered, can't this be changed?0

I enter by end date too (mostly) I think it's much easier to put the threads in thread title order to work by end date.
To do this I usually click on the word 'Thread' just above the very first post and this sorts them into order, as far as I'm aware, the 'End Date View' button does the same thing, and then click on the page numbers at the top or bottom until I find the right date and then I use 'Snaplinks' to open the links for all the pages after the one I'm on until the end of the comps for that end date.
So for comps ending 20/08 I'd click on Thread and then go to page 78 and open up pages 79,80,81 etc until I've got them all open. Hope that makes sense and is of some help!0 -
I do end dates the same way as djbake described (i think?) going to the bottom then choosing Thread Title, then descending.
Have just tried it the way bargainhuntergal described, and that way actually lets you use the Entered button, and more importantly, marks the threads when you go back to the page you were on.:j:j:j
So Thanks for that BHG, your an angel!!! xxx :A0 -
