Good afternoon: always use tradespersons recommended to you by a source you trust. I can assure you that experienced RGIs in the south are billing more than £120 per day and don't need to compete with those 'installers' who flogs their 'gas services' on fleabay.;)

The poster does not state weather these are recommended people to him just that they have given quote, I would always tell people to get recommendations from others who have used the services and also who are knowledgeable in the subject.

As I said “you should always check that they are covered by the appropriate governing body i.e. gas safe”.
10 years ago hardly any firms used the internet know thousands do, Because a firm chooses to advertise in a different way does not mean they are cowboys its just a different form of advertising you are insinuating they are not any good do you have any evidence… to substantiate that…

I’m not stating theses firms are good or bad just the price they are charging, I have no doubt many RGI are charging more that £120 And would imagine the above firms are installing at least one a day which would be £2000 per week so more than £120 a day

There are plenty of good tradesmen who are not busy and plenty of bad ones that are busy…
I was simply stating the fact that the pricing was high when compared to the market….
the ebay ones were simply an example of that...?

With eBay at least you can see feed back good and bad unlike Thomson yellow pages etc that only allow good feedback…

I personally see no problem with that…? Also as I stated the only people that would have a problem with that would be plumber's rgi's
