Having just had an LG Viewty KU990i phone go wrong on me, less than a year old, I had to send it back to LG (postage paid by them). I was lucky, and had won this in a competition, so hadn't cost me anything.
I just got a letter today saying

parts 29.27
labour 12.75
vat 7.35

or pay £11.50 inspection fee before they would send it back (I had been warned of this) If I don't want it they will recycle it free of charge (I bet they will)

No explanation, as to what was wrong just payup, or forfeit the phone.
Ok, maybe is cheap quote, I don't know, but, I've got another phone, so have scrapped it, however this got me thinking - how many people have had LCD screens crack.

Talking to friends there seems to be a lot of this happening, and warranties don't cover the damage.
How many more have had this happen?
