Neighbour threw raw sewage in garden

    That is pretty foul!

    However I agree with someone earlier - you have to bite your tongue as poor neighbourly relations are very stressful. If the guy is prepared to sling sewage, what else might he do?

    Presumably you have something in your deeds which deals with the shared septic tank and responsibilities. Am I correct in thinking that this is the sort that has to be emptied regularly? Have you considered installing your own mini-treatment plant (or sharing the cost of an upgrade with the neightbour) to avoid this all happening again?
  • You need to contact the Environment Agency. There is a pollution risk and a health risk.

    And you both need to make sure that you have a maintenance system in place so that raw sewage isn't being flung about.
    Septic tanks AND sewage treatment plants will need emptying (ST more than STP) at intervals and any moving parts need to be checked. There are plenty of companies that will do this for you at a reasonable price.
