calls on iphone 4

i am getting pretty frustrated when making calls on the iphone 4. is there a way to lock it while im on the phone because my cheek presses against it and it mutes, hangs up on people or in last nights case, hung up on someone, and completely phoned someone else while i thought i was still on the original call

A lot of people are having similar issues as you, Apple have said they would fix this with the next firmware update. A proximity sensor is meant to deactivate the display once you put the phone towards your face.

Looks like there's an app called "Call Guard". 59p - unrated and only released yesterday, so you could either give it a go or wait until someone else has rated it!! To be honest, the description on App Store doesn't sound great - you have to activate it after beginning the call, so that could be a bit of a faff. It would be better if it could run in the background and auto enable as soon as you accept an incoming call, but maybe that's something for a later development if Apple don't resolve the issue.

Now we can all sit back whilst the HTC fans come along and tell you off for buying an iPhone.

I'd just wait until Apple release the proximity sensor fix.
