It's a Toyota Corolla Kudos p reg (1997).

My DD lost her one and only key the other week! Cost £60 for someone to come out to the house and do two keys plus another £50 for someone to come and disconnect the immobiliser as she'd also lost that key. That was for an L reg corsa.
She only opened her bag in two places and it wasn't found/handed in at either of them and not been handed in to the police as yet.
Hope you can get something sorted out quickly although not sure what to suggest. Where are you as I'm in Lancashire and could recommend the man who came to our house.0 -
Find an auto locksmith on the net make sure they are local and not a national call center (they are expencive) I will warn you now though old Toyotas are horrible to do and usually expencive beacuse of the immobiliser. unless your lucky and its a late registration without immobiliser most cars after 1996 should have an immobiler by law.0

I think you need to accept that this problem will cost a few quid to solve

Other than contacting a Toyota dealership I'm not sure what other advice I can offer. I can't begin to imagine how an auto-locksmith could just come and cut a replacement key without a template.0 -

Quite simple really
pick lock open, strip it down, use lots of very expencive equipment/software and bob's your dad's brother one working key also coded into the car's manafactuers immobiliser:T 0 -

That's what the man did for me last week. Took him a while as well. I was thinking it was something like a 10 minute job:o0 -
Well the car wasn't pinched over night! But the majority of locksmiths are saying they can't help us as the key was "chipped" and it has an imobilizer! Toyota want £240+ and they will have to send away to belgium for a key! We contacted the AA and they offered us a locksmith who will charge £270+ Any ideas?

Couldn't you do away with the immobiliser so you would only have to buy a bog standard key? I don't know if that would be possible but certainly worth looking in to.We’ve had to remove your signature.
