Starting diesel after 6 years

Well after all this time (Now about 8yrs) I started it yesterday. I haven't rushed it !
Spun it on the starter with a little oil in each cylinder and glowplugs out. This dragged fuel from the low tank and lubed things a bit. Put the plugs back in and it started after 10 secs. Very pleased as we're trying to sell the boat. They don't build them like that now, no electronics involved. I'd even forgotten you have to pull the stop control when you switch off the electrics to stop it!This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
