Tesco Clubcard

Options
As a faithful clubcard holder I have this year opted to get all my vouchers at Christmas but I was horrified to see that they are running a deal at the moment where for each £5 in vouchers you have they will give you £10 in vouchers for home etc !
Granted it does not cover groceries but it would really help my family out....
I emailed to enquire if I could get the vouchers as there are 17days left on the offer and I was told as I have opted to have the vouchers at Christmas they could not get them out within the 17 days. I feel that I am being penalised for saving my vouchers and topping up as I have been ! ! aaaarrrrggghhh
I spoke to a supervisor who was no help whatsoever and could not supply me with any terms and conditions about this when I asked. Is there nothing I can do???

Their rules I'm afraid so they can refuse.

Bearing in mind the double up offers last year perhaps a bit hasty in opting for Christmas ?

Suggest that you escalate and complain to Sir Terry Leahy, Tesco Chief Executive via sending him an email at terry.leahy@uk.tesco.com.

Good luck and hope this helps.
    And what will that achieve?

I agree, it might not 'acheive' anything but if you don't complaint you will get nothing.

If you were not made aware when you signed up for the Xmas scheme that you could not 'opt out' then this could be misleading.

    Always worth a try.

    Good luck.

Do you actually believe that the CEO of Tesco reads these emails?:rotfl: Even if that email address is correct (which knowing sirmarcus track record is more than likely wrong)I doubt it would even be looked at.

If you wish to complain you start far lower down the food chain because as soon as you get to the CEO you have nowhere else to go.

What is the point of waiting to have them at Christmas? Mine have about 2 year expiry on them so I can choose what to do with them.

Seems sensible to have them when issued and kept until needed.

    Daft idea.

    An email like:

    "Dear Sir Tel

I appreciate that this is not actually your email address due to the fact that a CEO of one of the largest companies in the world may not want to be bothered by consumers moaning about their Clubcard vouchers, but I was wondering if you could get my Clubcard vouchers to me within the next 15.5 days as I would love to use them on an offer you have instore at the moment.

Customer services said no. Someone called SirMarcus on an anonymous internet forum said that I should escalate. So can you leave your lovely office in Cheshunt and pop up to Dundee and get them printed and sent to me?

    Thanks so much.

    Love and hugs.

Absolute nonsense, they may not read them but I can assure you they dont want people moaning to them.

Everytime I have had to complain about something, last time was BT I have had the issues resolved almost immediately when emailing the person at the top.

Unfortunately I think what they have told you is right. Last quarter I applied to have my vouchers rolled over, whcih they said they would do and I would receive £40 in the next August statement (This was in June this year) so after receiving this last week, I only had £2.00. When I rang up to query this, I told got told that it was their error and that it has NOW been done and I would receive them in the November mailing. I was frustrated obviously that I was promised them in August, but they told me that they cannot intercept the mailing system and that I would just have to wait. I needed them for November desperately too - Just looks like we'll have to deal with it...
