Ikea Malm bed - Slats keep falling through!
Comments

I have had the same problem too.......
I cant understand why they have a bed that is (for arguement sake) 60" wide but the slats are only 58" wide.
I appreciate there needs to be a gap to slot the slats into place but they have simply failed to ensure that they are safe......
My slats fall through weekly but i think thats mainly due to getting out of bed and the movement edges the slats inwards and away from the supports
Has anyone contacted IKEA about this?

My slats are slightly bent, which way up are you putting yours
I have mine so bend faces upwards then when you put weight on them they are a very tight fit.
wow I never thought of that!
Ive decided Im going to wedge them in with a thin piece of wood to stop them moving. Great bed, poor bed design.
Its such a well known bed and so many people have or desire one - amazing that Ikea got away with doing what they have!Bismillah0
