    For those wanting to travel cheap to/from Wales, try https://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk and select "Single Fares" when you get to the prices screen.
    Provided you get your tickets well in advance, and can commit to a particular train, there are great bargains to be had.

    This goes for many other train operators too - try it and see.

    Another bit of advice - DONT use TRAINLINE.COM - use ANY TRAIN OPERATOR'S WEBSITE. Most use the same system as trainline.com, but most don't charge a supplement for using Credit Cards!

    Anyone know which train operator to use for a journey from Basingstoke to North West? Also why not use trainline? ARe they expensive?
